Common Errors and Fixes

Last updated: January 2026

Your Djangify  eCommerce Site has been designed to run smoothly without much maintenance. However, small issues can occasionally appear, often due to expired passwords, missing file uploads, or email settings. This article explains the most common problems and how to fix them quickly.

Login Problems

If you cannot access your dashboard:

“Invalid login credentials”

  • Double-check that your username and password are correct.

  • Remember that passwords are case sensitive.

  • If you still cannot log in, click Forgot Password on the login page and follow the link emailed to you.

  • If the reset email does not arrive within 10 minutes, check your spam or junk folder.

“Page not found” when trying to log in

  • Ensure your admin link ends with /admin/ (for example: yourdomain.com/admin/).

  • If you recently moved your site or domain, your admin link may have changed.

Missing Product Files

If customers report that a file does not download or gives an error:

  1. Log in to your dashboard.

  2. Open Products → click the product name.

  3. Scroll to the Digital File field and confirm the correct file is uploaded.

  4. If missing, re-upload your original PDF or ZIP file and click Save.

Customers who purchase after you re-upload will be able to log into their dashboard area to download the product.

Emails Not Sending or Not Received

Email problems usually occur because of one of three things:
(1) A temporary block on your domain’s email,
(2) Incorrect sender settings, or
(3) A change in hosting credentials.

Your email details will be taken from whatever you put in the settings area. If something has changed update your settings file.

Product or Homepage Changes Not Appearing

If you make updates but do not see them live:

  • Refresh your page or clear your browser cache.

  • If still unchanged, check that the Published box is ticked on your product or page.

  • Log out and back in to ensure your admin session is active.

These simple steps usually fix display issues immediately.

If you have checked for missing product files and the link is still not working log into Djangify and use the support contact form to let us know.

Stripe Payment Errors

If a customer reports that a payment did not go through:

  • Log in to your Stripe Dashboard and search for their email.

  • If no payment appears, the customer did not complete checkout.

  • If marked as “Failed” or “Incomplete,” it may be due to expired card details or network timeouts.

Stripe handles these automatically you do not need to retry the payment manually. Just let your customer know that payment did not go through.

Slow Site or Timeout Error

If your site takes longer than usual to load:

  • Check your VPS usage via your hosting control panel.

  • Restart your VPS if memory usage is unusually high.

  • Contact your hosting Support departent if this continues. They can review your logs and let you know what is going on.

Your site is lightweight by design, so consistent slowness usually indicates a temporary server or cache issue.

A: Yes. Your VPS includes automatic weekly backups. Contact Djangify Support (for managed hosting and custom site set up) or your hosting provider to restore the most recent version.

Q: Why are my customers not getting order emails?
A: Usually the sender email is missing or not verified. This will have been set up at the start so check your setting to make sure nothing has changed.
