License
If you purchased a license I will be in touch with your license key within 24 hours. Usually faster. You can then include that in your .env file with your other important / secret information that makes your site run. The footer information will then disappear. A license is a one-time fee and at the time of writing this that means you never have to pay again. You will find a PDF explaining everything in your dashboard area under My Products.
Managed Hosting
If you have decided you want me managing your site, again, I will be in touch fairly quickly. Usually within hours of being notified of your payment. You will find a PDF explaining everything that happens next in your dashboard area under My Products. Here's a summary of that information:
I will set everything up for you and then send you the details to log into your admin site.
As you are using your own domain name this has to be set up and can take up to 48 hours to connect with my hosting - although it is usually very quick (within a few hours) depending on your domain provider. Godaddy and NameCheap are both very quick.
You need to include the following information in your domain. The image below shows the NameCheap dashboard. After logging in go to your domain, click on Advanced DNS and add the information shown in the image:
Type: A Record
Host: @ (for the second A Record make this www) - this makes sure if someone visits https://yoursite.com or https://www.yoursite.com they arrive at the same spot.
Value: 65.108.89.200
TTL: 1 Minute
Important Information
Your domain will not "speak" to my hosting until this is complete so do this before or immediately after payment. This assumes you are using a domain that does not currently house your website or anything. It must be a domain not currently being used to work. This assumes the ebuilder will be your main site.
Full eCommerce Build
If you haven't already downloaded the questionnaire please log in and do that now. The questionnaire includes important information that is needed to get your site up quicker. Please aim to return it within 24-48 hours if possible.
The first thing to do is follow the directions above (under Managed Hosting) to change your domain name. This will help speed up the process.
Once the information has been received your eCommerce store will be set up within 5 working days - usually 2-3.
After completion you will be sent a handover document with details about your store. You should immediately log in and update the password. You can read the document Getting Started After Handover
Questionnaire And Information
You can send me anything from 1 to 4 products and I will add them for you. Send over images, product descriptions, prices and images for each product with clear instructions - and of course the product itself.
The questionnaire will let us know about your colour code / branding for your site. We work with HTML colour codes. Each colour is represented by a code starting with a # - e.g. the code #000000 will produce the colour black and #ffffff will produce the colour white.
If you created your own logo in Canva you can get the colours there. If a designer created your logo you can ask them for the colour codes.
Accessing Your Resources
If you want to use - for example - your own email provider like MailChimp then you must be able to provide us with the code we need to include your newsletter registration box on your site. You may already have the code on your website if you have one.
Access Your Admin Area
Once the site is complete you will be provided with a handover document. In that PDF you will receive details of your login area which will be yourdomain / admin
