Creating And Updating Homepage

Last updated: January 2026

Your homepage is an important page. This article explains how to make changes to the homepage such as adding and updating text, adding an image, or changing which products appear.

Log In to the Dashboard

Visit your admin link (for example: yourdomain.com/admin/) and log in using your details.
Once inside, you will see the standard dashboard menu.
Your homepage content is managed through specific editable fields. You cannot move or delete sections, but you can safely update text and images at any time.

Locate the Homepage Content Section

In the left-hand menu, click Site Settings (you will find it under the PAGES tab). When you click on that you will see a page with a form that says Site Settings, click to edit it. Once open you will see editable fields such as:

Business Name

Add your business name and site url plus email. These are all important because they appear in your email communication.

Currency

This is where you select your store currency. The default is £ and you can select Dollars or Euros

Homepage Mode

This is where you decide if you want your homepage or your shoppage to be the main "face" of your site. You may decide you want your products to show up and not have a typical website type landing page.

If you do select to have a homepage you can opt for your blog, shop and gallery to appear on it.

If you select shop as your main page there are sections under the SHOP settings that will let you update what your homepage with a shop will look like. Those sections only work if shop is your main home page.

This contains the information in your footer with your social media accounts.

SEO: This is where you can add information about your site for the search engines.

Once your site settings have been saved you can now create your first page.

Home Page Setup

If you have opted to have your home page be a landing page then under PAGES go to Pages.

Click on Add Page and you will see the item Template. Select the  Homepage option.

Add a title

With every page you create you have an option to add it to the navigation bar and / or footer. They are added by default so unlick the tick box if you do not want that page to appear. Usually with a homepage you will leave it selected.

SEO is next.

You can add a meta title and description that will appear in the search engines.

After that you will see a selection of sections

Hero Sections

Add a hero page. You can include a title, subtitle, and a button

Three Column Blocks

Here you get three small boxes in a row. Add a sentence max. Keep this text short. You can also add a small icon that appears above the text. You can add information with or without a title. These boxes have a white background

If you want to include a gallery give it a name. You can then go to Gallery images and add images to that gallery block. If you opted in the settings for your gallery to appear on the homepage the first six images will show up along with a button to view more. Only ONE gallery block is allowed.

FAQ Blocks

You can add more than one FAQ block. Each block can belong to a different page. Once you have named your block and save it go to FAQ BLOCKS in the menu and click on it. You can then add your questions and answers there. Each FAQ Block is connected to a page so if you were on the home page when you added a block that is where it will appear. If you were on the About page - same thing. So make sure you create the FAQ block on the page you want it to appear.

Page Sections

This is the place you will add most of your content. You can select to add

  • text (A title with words only) - text boxes have a white background
  • two-column - image with text with a light background
  • Features Grid - text and words only - features grid has a light background
  • Call to action (CTA) button - this will have a dark background. Add a title, a short sentence and a link to a button

Numbering your pages

Your pages rank from 0 to however many you choose. The higher the number the lower down the page it is saved.

So, whatever you want at the top should be 0 or 1 and increase it from there.

Where your blog posts and products appear can not be altered. Blog posts usually appear at the very end of a page along with your products.
